Softball Recap: Novato Takes a Loss

Novato was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Marin Catholic Wildcats, falling 18-1. The Hornets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Novato saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sofia Long, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. Those hits marked the first that Long got this season.

Novato's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Marin Catholic, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Novato will take on Montgomery at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Marin Catholic, they will square off against Tamalpais at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
