Preview: Logansport Berries vs. Twin Lakes Indians
Logansport has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Twin Lakes Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Logansport will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 356th, while Twin Lakes is ranked 122nd).
Logansport suffered their biggest loss since November 10, 2023 on Saturday. They were outmatched by Anderson at home and fell 74-42.
Meanwhile, Twin Lakes struggled with assists on Tuesday (Valparaiso had eight more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Twin Lakes received a tough blow as they fell 67-51 to Valparaiso. Twin Lakes has not had much luck with Valparaiso recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Olivia Nickerson, who scored 21 points along with two steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Addie Bowsman was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Logansport has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season. As for Twin Lakes, they bumped their record down to 11-9 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Logansport was taken down by Twin Lakes 76-49 in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can Logansport avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
