Baseball Recap: Cotulla Comes Up Short

Cotulla lost against Lytle back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cowboys came up short against the Pirates, falling 22-1. The Cowboys have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cotulla saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Salazar, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Cotulla's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10-1. As for Lytle, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-11.

Coming up, Cotulla will head out to challenge Natalia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cowboys are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Lytle, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dilley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: the Wolves will have lost three straight heading into Friday's game.
