Flag Football Recap: Pacific Collegiate Takes a Loss

If Pacific Collegiate was riding high fresh off their 33-12 takedown of Marina on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pumas and the Harbor Pirates were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but the Pumas suffered a 7-6 defeat. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Pumas came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 234th, while the Pirates are ranked 586th).

Pacific Collegiate's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-2. As for Harbor, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8.

Coming up, Pacific Collegiate will host North Salinas at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harbor, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-6 defeat against Pajaro Valley on the 11th.
