Volleyball Recap: Desert Mountain Wolves vs. Campo Verde Coyotes

Desert Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Campo Verde Coyotes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Coyotes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 last Thursday.

Ava Archibald paced Desert Mountain's offense, picking up 12 kills. Archibald got some help from Isabella Mitchell and her 28 assists. Mitchell was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Campo Verde was led to victory by Kendal Kellar and Camryn Ingersoll. Kellar had 11 digs and two assists, while Ingersoll had two assists. That's the most assists Ingersoll has posted since back in August.

Desert Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Campo Verde, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-9.

Desert Mountain wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Cicero Prep Academy on the 26th. As for Campo Verde, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Eastlake on the 26th.
