Basketball Recap: Pahokee Piles Up the Points Against Glades Day

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pahokee). They claimed a resounding 59-22 victory over the Glades Day Gators. The Blue Devils pushed the score to 42-17 by the end of the third, a deficit the Gators had little chance of recovering from.

Pahokee's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sa?Nya Flowers, who posted 16 points. Flowers' evening made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Terriah Bradley, who earned 16 points.

Pahokee's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7. As for Glades Day, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pahokee will challenge Glades Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Glades Day, they will face off against Sports Leadership & Management at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
