Baseball Recap: Yreka Starts off Right with Win over Enterprise

Yreka gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Enterprise Hornets with a sharp 9-3 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Miners also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2019.

Brody Zediker was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-4. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Derek Liddick was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Yreka was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Enterprise only posted a batting average of .143.

Enterprise dropped their record down to 1-2 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Yreka didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-3 loss against Shasta on the 10th. As for Enterprise, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 10-2 victory against Corning on the 7th.
