Mammoth snaps three-game streak of wins at home

Recap: Mammoth Huskies vs. Rosamond Roadrunners

The Mammoth Huskies pushed their score all the way to 57 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. Their rough 77-57 loss to Rosamond might stick with them for a while. It was the first time this season that Mammoth let down their fans at home.

Loss or not, Mammoth got some senior leadership from Tyler Jones who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds and Forest Daniels who scored 19 points. The contest was Jones' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kaiam Trabulsi, who scored 13 points.

Rosamond's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Andrew Arredondo, who scored 24 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which Arredondo has scored at least 25% of Rosamond's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Fabian Robles, who scored 18 points.

Mammoth's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3. As for Rosamond, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-5.

Mammoth will head out on the road to face off against Kern Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kern Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1187th, while Mammoth is ranked 428th). Rosamond will be home for the holidays to greet California City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. California City is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
