Baseball Game Preview: Allegany-Limestone Gators vs. Olean Huskies

Allegany-Limestone is 1-9 against Olean since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Gators will be playing at home against the Huskies at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Allegany-Limestone took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over Southwestern.

Meanwhile, Olean got themselves on the board against Wellsville on Thursday, but Wellsville never followed suit. They came out on top against the Lions by a score of 5-0.

Olean pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Allegany-Limestone, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Allegany-Limestone came up short against Olean when the teams last played back in April of 2024, falling 8-3. Can the Gators avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
