Volleyball Recap: Dripping Springs' Undefeated Season over After Six Games

Dripping Springs's tournament run continued when they took on Eagle Mountain on Friday. The Tigers fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-1. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Dripping Springs actually scored more points across those three sets (73-70), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 16-25, 29-27, 25-21.

Leading Eagle Mountain to victory were Lily Adams and Lexi Nichols. Adams had 13 digs and two aces, while Nichols had 18 digs and one assist. Nichols has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 14 times she's played.

Having lost for the first time this season, Dripping Springs fell to 5-1. As for Eagle Mountain, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-2.

Dripping Springs has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Harlan on the 15th. As for Eagle Mountain, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Prosper on the 15th.
