Softball Game Preview: First Coast Christian Knights vs. Cornerstone Classical Academy Spartans

The First Coast Christian Knights are taking a road trip to square off against the Cornerstone Classical Academy Spartans at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

First Coast Christian is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Peniel Baptist Academy on Tuesday. They lost 13-1 to the Warriors. The Knights have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Cornerstone Classical Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Christ's Church Academy, falling 16-2.

First Coast Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Cornerstone Classical Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

First Coast Christian took their victory against Cornerstone Classical Academy in their previous meeting back in February by a conclusive 18-12 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
