It was a Battle of the Birds when Scammon Bay took on Kotlik on Thursday. Scammon Bay came out on top against Kotlik by a score of 58-47.

Scammon Bay's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was CHARLIE KAGANAK, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. With that strong performance, KAGANAK is now averaging an impressive 8.2 boards per game. Another player making a difference was CHRISTIAN CHANDLER, who went 6 for 13 on his way to 13 points.

Meanwhile, Nelson Island didn't have too much trouble with Chief Paul Memorial on Friday as they won 58-42.

Scammon Bay's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.9 points per game. As for Nelson Island, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Scammon Bay came out on top in a nail-biter against Nelson Island in their previous meeting on January 9th, sneaking past 67-64. The rematch might be a little tougher for Scammon Bay since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
