Islands and Beach are an even 4-4 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Islands has given up an average of 34.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Islands is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 31 points on September 12th, they were much more limited against Liberty County last Friday. They lost 34-8 to the Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Sharks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 396th, while the Panthers are ranked 149th).

Meanwhile, Beach's game last Friday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 22-21 to Long County. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Blue Tide recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Islands' defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Beach, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Islands couldn't quite get it done against Beach in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 as they fell 13-0. Can the Sharks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
