Flag Football Recap: Monroe Area Takes a Loss

After flying high against Mill Creek last Tuesday, Monroe Area came back down to earth. The Purple Hurricanes came up short against the Lakeside Panthers on Tuesday, falling 26-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Purple Hurricanes were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Monroe Area and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Lakeside, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Coming up, Monroe Area will challenge Warren County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lakeside, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 19-14 victory against Trinity Christian on the 16th.
