Softball Recap: Jefferson Forest Cavaliers vs. Gretna Hawks
Jefferson Forest got themselves on the board against Gretna on Monday, but Gretna never followed suit. They blew past the Hawks 12-0. With that victory, the Cavaliers brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.
Mati Gouldthorpe was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashleigh Johnson, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Jefferson Forest always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gretna only posted an OBP of .167.
