Basketball Recap: Gavin Leloup Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Patoka

Martinsville lost to Patoka back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Martinsville Bluestreaks strolled past the Patoka Warriors with points to spare, taking the game 47-32. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bluestreaks.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Martinsville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gavin Leloup, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 18 boards. That's the most rebounds Leloup has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kaiden Simons, who scored 19 points and three steals.

Martinsville's victory bumped their record up to 14-15. As for Patoka, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-16.

Martinsville has already played their next game, a 40-33 win against Cumberland on the 21st. As for Patoka, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 67-53 loss against Webber on the 21st.
