Basketball Recap: Mountain View Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mountain View can now relate to. They fell 46-33 to the Summit Storm on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Storm are ranked 25th).

Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Summit, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cougars face off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Redmond will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something Mountain View surely won't give up without a fight. As for Summit, they will head out on the road to square off against Ridgeview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Summit is facing Ridgeview at the right time seeing as Ridgeview is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
