If Chaminade wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Vianney, they should've done a better job of containing Connor Johnson. The Golden Griffins were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Red Devils on Tuesday for which the team can thank Johnson, who had 22 assists and one block. He has been hot for a while, having posted 14 or more assists the last ten times he's played.

The win didn't come easy: Chaminade scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-18, 25-22.

The victory was the third in a row for Vianney, bringing their record up to 10-7-1. As for Chaminade, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Coming up, Vianney will head out on the road to challenge De Smet Jesuit at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something the Golden Griffins surely won't give up without a fight. As for Chaminade, they will be playing at home against Christian Brothers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
