Basketball Recap: Knott County Central's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

After flying high against Perry County Central last Thursday, Knott County Central came back down to earth. The Knott County Central Patriots took a 58-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Menifee County Wildcats on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 64-47 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2015.

Knott County Central's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6. As for Menifee County, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-8 record.

Knott County Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 73-31 victory against Cordia on the 1st. As for Menifee County, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Menifee County Wildcats challenge the Boyd County Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
