Recap: Spencer Greenwave vs. Harris County Tigers
The Spencer Greenwave stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Harris County 79-51 at home. Winning may never get old, but Spencer sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Spencer's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joe Dozier, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Dozier continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was KeyShaun Sampton, who scored 23 points.
Harris County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Zy?kevious Gates, who scored seven points. Shay Broome was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with nine rebounds.
Spencer's victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32.18 points. As for Harris County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spencer will take on Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 413th, while Spencer is ranked 131st). As for Harris County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northgate at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
