Basketball Game Preview: Gull Lake Blue Devils vs. Portage Central Mustangs

Gull Lake is 2-7 against Portage Central since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Gull Lake Blue Devils will head out to face off against the Portage Central Mustangs at 7:00 p.m.

Gull Lake came up short against Norrix on Friday, falling 64-42. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 473rd, while the Knights are ranked 222nd).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Portage Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They snuck past Lakeshore with a 52-48 victory on Friday.

This is the second loss in a row for Gull Lake and nudges their season record down to 3-8. As for Portage Central, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.

Gull Lake came up short against Portage Central when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 57-51. Can Gull Lake avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
