Baseball Recap: Innovation Comes Up Short

After flying high against University last Friday, Innovation came back down to earth. The Bulls came up short against the Freedom Patriots on Tuesday, falling 8-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

Innovation saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Kennedy, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Innovation has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Freedom, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-13 record.

Innovation wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Tohopekaliga on the 8th. As for Freedom, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-4 victory against Davenport on the 2nd.
