Softball Recap: Capital Has No Trouble Against St. Joseph Central

Capital's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the St. Joseph Central Irish as Capital made off with a 21-10 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cougars considering their two-run performance the game before.

Ella Sedosky and Jadan Bishop did most of the damage at the plate: Sedosky got on base in four of her five plate appearances with six stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI, while Bishop scored four runs and stole six bases while going 3-for-5. Those six stolen bases gave Bishop a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Myya Williams, who scored three runs and stole five bases.

Capital always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .610. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Joseph Central only posted an OBP of .467.

The win got Capital back to even at 1-1. As for St. Joseph Central, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Capital didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-3 defeat against Oak Hill on the 21st. As for St. Joseph Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-3 victory against Fairview on the 24th.
