Softball Game Preview: Marathon Dolphins vs. Coral Shores Hurricanes

The Marathon Dolphins will challenge the Coral Shores Hurricanes at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Marathon lost 11-4 to Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart on Thursday.

Elianys Roque was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Daniuska Perdomo, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Roque wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Marathon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. This was only their first loss (out of four games) when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, Coral Shores came up short against Somerset Academy South Homestead two weeks ago, falling 18-8. Coral Shores hasn't had much luck with Somerset Academy South Homestead recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Marathon's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Coral Shores, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
