Basketball Recap: Pekin Snags Ninth Victory in Last Ten Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Washington, Pekin was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with a 40-29 win over the Illini Bluffs Tigers. The Dragons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Pekin has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a massive bump to their 15-9 record this season. As for Illini Bluffs, their loss ended a 15-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 17-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pekin will challenge Morton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Morton will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Pekin surely won't give up without a fight. As for Illini Bluffs, they will take on Brimfield at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th.
