Softball Recap: Fort Zumwalt East vs. Wright City Wildcats
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fort Zumwalt North, Fort Zumwalt East was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with an 11-6 win over the Wright City Wildcats. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Fort Zumwalt East considering their one-run performance the game before.
Grace McCombs was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The last time her batting average was this high was back in September of 2023. Another player making a difference was Isabella Pierce, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
