Football Game Preview: Franklin County Flyers vs. Western Hills Wolverines + How To Watch

Franklin County is 8-1 against Western Hills since August of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Flyers will look to defend their home field against the Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. Franklin County is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Franklin County is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 63-0 win over Grant County. The Flyers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 22 points or more this season.

Franklin County found their leader in sophomore Barret Knox, who threw for 313 yards and five TDs while completing 72.2% of his passes. Those five passing touchdowns set a new season-high mark for Knox. The team also got some help courtesy of Coen Taylor, who picked up 110 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Franklin County proved: they limited Grant County to a paltry -1.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Jacob Olds for the heroic effort on defense: he. Franklin County didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 13.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Franklin County, racking up 15 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Corieon Tabbs, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Western Hills, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in September. They breezed past Grant County to the tune of 36-0 last Friday. The Wolverines not only won last Friday, but they posted their biggest win since October 4, 2024 (when they won 40-0).

Western Hills' victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Franklin County, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.

Everything came up roses for Franklin County against Western Hills in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 59-0 victory. Will the Flyers repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
