If Carlmont was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Half Moon Bay on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Scots took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sequoia Ravens on Thursday. The Scots' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

While Carlmont ultimately came up short, they really made Sequoia work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 29-27, 21-25, 25-19, 25-18.

Leading Sequoia to victory were Karina Kumar and Annika Mock. Kumar had 11 digs, while Mock had nine digs. That's the most digs Kumar has posted over her last eight matchups.

Carlmont's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Sequoia, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-9.
