Soccer Game Preview: Wake Christian Academy vs. St. David's

The Wake Christian Academy Bulldogs will challenge the St. David's Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, Wake Christian Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill and fell 4-3. While losing is never fun, Wake Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 216th, while Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill are ranked 47th).

Wake Christian Academy hit Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Caleb Dramis, Luke Silva, and Hunter Pressley.

Meanwhile, after soaring to six goals the game before, St. David's was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to GRACE Christian. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but St. David's couldn't quite close it out.

St. David's has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those seven contests. As for Wake Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.

Everything went Wake Christian Academy's way against St. David's when the teams last played back in September, as Wake Christian Academy made off with a 5-1 win. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
