There's no place like home for Piedmont Hills, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They never let the Del Mar Dons get on the board and left with a 14-0 win on Friday. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matches by seven runs or more this season.

Ava Martinez made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Piedmont Hills got a massive performance out of Isabella Paskert, who went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those four stolen bases gave Paskert a new career-high. Leilani Ortiz was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases and four runs.

Piedmont Hills was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Del Mar only posted a batting average of .000.

Piedmont Hills' record now sits at 18-6. As for Del Mar, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-14.
