Baseball Recap: North Point Victorious

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Tuesday. North Point walked away with an 8-5 victory over Centennial. The win made it back-to-back victories for North Point.

Austin Wood made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Jordan Daniel was a standout: he scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Jaiden Wismer, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

North Point's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Centennial, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, North Point will host La Plata at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Centennial, they will challenge River Hill on Wednesday.
