Valley Head proved they can win big on Monday (they won by seven) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Coosa Christian Conquerors. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Conquerors: they've now won three in a row.

Adleigh Lockett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, Valley Head saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Harrison, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one triple. Lexi Coffman was another, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

Valley Head's win bumped their record up to 9-19-2. As for Coosa Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.

Valley Head will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Conquerors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
