Preview: Sumner/Northwest Academy of Law vs. McCluer South-Berkeley
On Friday, McCluer South-Berkeley are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Sumner/Northwest Academy of Law at 6:00 PM. Both teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
McCluer South-Berkeley couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 6-28 punch to the gut against MICDS last Saturday.
Meanwhile, Sumner/Northwest Academy of Law had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They were completely outmatched, falling 8-50 to Poplar Bluff.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better score. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous game, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
