Softball Recap: St. John Paul II Victorious

St. John Paul II won the last time they faced North Florida Christian and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Panthers came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 7-3.

North Florida Christian's batters probably weren't too happy with AMANDA THOMPSON, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 17 Ks (she gave up two walks). THOMPSON has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on SADIE DONAWAY, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. TRISTA DAWSON also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

St. John Paul II's record is now 7-10. As for North Florida Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.

Coincidentally, St. John Paul II and North Florida Christian will both be playing Florida State University High School the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Seminoles at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Eagles will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
