Football Recap: Darrion Frisson Leads Chula Vista's Defense on Friday + How To Watch

Chula Vista fought the good fight in their overtime game against Hilltop on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 13-7 to the Lancers. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lancers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Even if they lost, Chula Vista's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Leading the way was Darrion Frisson with two. Frisson is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least eight every time he's taken the field this season.

It was another big night for Leo Mendoza, who rushed for 134 yards and a pair of TDs for Hilltop.

This is the second loss in a row for Chula Vista and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Hilltop, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
