Volleyball Recap: Hayes' Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Hayes lost against Pleasant back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pacers fell 2-0 to the Spartans. The loss put an end to the Pacers' undefeated start to the season.

Hayes was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-22.

Claire Davis paced Hayes' offense, picking up 11 kills. Davis got some help from Mara Tope and her 15 assists.

Having lost for the first time this season, Hayes fell to 3-1. As for Pleasant, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hayes will host Big Walnut at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Pacers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Pleasant, they will square off against Clear Fork at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
