Softball Recap: Huntingtown Beats Sparrows Point for Their Sixth Straight Win

Huntingtown had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Sparrows Point Pointers a 19-0 shutout on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Hurricanes, who have now won 16 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory was the sixth in a row for Huntingtown, bringing their record up to 20-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Sparrows Point, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 11-9 record.

Huntingtown didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 19-0 victory against Lackey on the 17th. Sparrows Point does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
