Basketball Game Preview: Orange Panthers vs. Eastern Alamance Eagles

Two dominant guards in Evelyn George and Aliya Trollinger are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Orange Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eastern Alamance Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Eastern Alamance will be up against a hot Orange squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Orange simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Southern Alamance 56-17. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 190th, while the Patriots are ranked 530th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Eastern Alamance against Southern Alamance on Tuesday as the team secured a 72-27 victory. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won four in a row.

Eastern Alamance's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points over those games. As for Orange, their win bumped their record up to 14-8.
