Baseball Preview: Ash Grove Pirates vs. Skyline Tigers
The Ash Grove Pirates will head out on the road to square off against the Skyline Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last four games Ash Grove has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Ash Grove blew Lockwood out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Lockwood got their revenge. The Pirates fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 6-4.
Kyler Reece put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (one). He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.
In other batting news, Ty Messley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
