Basketball Recap: Park River/Fordville-Lankin Aggies vs. St. John Woodchucks
After losing to the St. John Woodchucks the last time they met, the Park River/Fordville-Lankin Aggies decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Park River/Fordville-Lankin walked away with a 64-54 victory over the Woodchucks on Thursday.
St. John's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cashmyn Belgarde, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Simon LaRocque, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Park River/Fordville-Lankin's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-13. As for St. John, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.
Park River/Fordville-Lankin's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Polar Bears at 7:30 p.m. on February 5th. Larimore is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for St. John, they will head out on the road to square off against the Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
