Basketball Recap: Lakeside Takes a Loss

The Lakeside Vikings came up short against the Gulf Breeze Dolphins on Monday, falling 86-60. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leading Gulf Breeze to victory were Michael Bailey and Bobby Yelton. Bailey went 6-for-12 to rack up 16 points and five assists, while Yelton made all 7 shots he took for 19 points. Another player making a difference was Brennen Hill, who posted 11 points.

Lakeside's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Gulf Breeze, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Lakeside and Cornerstone Christian will face off at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played. The Vikings will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.86 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
