Basketball Recap: Seymour Comes Up Short

Seymour entered their contest against St. Paul Catholic on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The match between the Seymour Wildcats and the St. Paul Catholic Falcons didn't end well, with the Seymour Wildcats falling 45-30. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-27 back in January.

Seymour's loss dropped their record down to 14-4. As for St. Paul Catholic, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seymour will square off against Holy Cross at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Holy Cross knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Seymour likes a good challenge. As for St. Paul Catholic, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Falcons take on the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
