Softball Recap: Sumner Comes Up Short

Sumner managed to slip by Washington Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tigers lost 11-1 to the Raiders on Wednesday. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly ten runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Sumner and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Washington Academy, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Sumner will square off against rival Narraguagus at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Washington Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Foxcroft Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
