Basketball Recap: Xaden Stokes Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Carolina Academy

Palmetto won the last time they faced Carolina Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Palmetto Mustangs came out on top against the Carolina Academy Trojans by a score of 57-49.

Palmetto's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Xaden Stokes, who shot 5-for-6 from downtown and dropped a double-double with 25 points and 12 rebounds. Stokes is becoming a predictor of Palmetto's success: when he posts at least eight boards the team is 6-2 (and 2-8 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Maj Mccoy, who posted 16 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

Palmetto's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Carolina Academy, their loss was their ninth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-23.

Palmetto has already played their next game, a 46-41 victory against St. Joseph's Catholic on the 13th. Carolina Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
