Softball Recap: River City Comes Up Short

River City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 25-3 to the Vacaville Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-4 on Wednesday.

Emily Sauceda made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Emily San Jose, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

River City's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Vacaville, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

River City has already played their next contest, an 18-2 defeat against Wood on the 11th. As for Vacaville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 9-4 loss against Vanden on the 11th.
