Softball Recap: Thornton Academy Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Thornton Academy's offense. They lost 11-0 to the Kennebunk Rams on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Trojans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Thornton Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Kennebunk, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Thornton Academy will square off against Noble at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Trojans are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Kennebunk, they will take on Scarborough at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
