It was fun while it lasted, but New Way Learning Academy's undefeated season came to an end after four games on Thursday. They fell 54-45 to Thunderbird Adventist Academy. The loss was the Bulldogs' first of the season.

Gideon Orellana had a dynamite game for Thunderbird Adventist Academy, going 7 of 9 on his way to 15 points in addition to five boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Aziel Perez, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, New Way Learning Academy fell to 4-1. As for Thunderbird Adventist Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

New Way Learning Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Ville de Marie Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Ville de Marie Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something New Way Learning Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Thunderbird Adventist Academy, they will host Arrowhead Christian Academy at 6:50 p.m. on Monday. Thunderbird Adventist Academy is facing Arrowhead Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Arrowhead Christian Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
