Baseball Game Preview: Brooks Lions vs. Loretto Mustangs

For the second straight game, Brooks will face off against Loretto. Brooks will be playing at home against Loretto at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Brooks barely beat Loretto the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Brooks put the hurt on Loretto with a sharp 11-5 victory on Thursday.

For Loretto's part, Casen Springer and Grayson Burleson did some serious damage despite the final result: Springer scored a run while going 3-for-3, while Burleson scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. That's the most hits Springer has posted since back in April of 2024.

Brooks has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-13 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. Loretto's loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-9.
