Recap: Farina South Central Cougars vs. Dieterich Movin Maroons
The Farina South Central Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 73-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dieterich. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dieterich to victory, but perhaps none more so than Miley Britton, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. Britton has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Estella Meinhart was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds and five assists.
Farina South Central has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-15 record this season. As for Dieterich, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Farina South Central will challenge Red Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Red Hill will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. Dieterich on the road again on Monday and play against Robinson at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th.
