Basketball Recap: Roncalli's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Roncalli waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 46-36 win over the New Palestine Dragons. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Royals also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Roncalli to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sara Rosko, who posted 14 points and seven steals. The dominant performance gave Rosko a new career-high in steals. Elliot Leffler was another key player, putting up 12 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Roncalli smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as New Palestine only pulled down four offensive boards.

Several Dragons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sadey Hughbanks, who put up eight points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Kendra Moore, who scored nine points.

Roncalli is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points per game. As for New Palestine, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-9.

Roncalli has already played their next match (against Triton Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. New Palestine has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Waldron.
